CHENG RESIDENCE
Mercer Island, WA

This home had beautiful water and city views, but the finishes were dated, and a previous remodel had created awkward living spaces. A huge central fireplace, which blocked the kitchen and dining room from views and light, was cut down to about half its original width.  The removal of a couple of walls, and the addition of a few windows created a whole new layout of spaces, while warm and vibrant paint colors throughout the interior and exterior, thoroughly transformed this once dated house.
