This project for a new orthodox synagogue provides worship and supporting spaces for a growing congregation in a residential neighborhood in Seattle. The design takes its inspiration from historic precedents including assembly buildings of Eastern Europe. The design finesse was to fit the architectural program needs into the new building sized to the zoning constraints of the site, and to assure its visual “fit” into the surrounding residential neighborhood.
